Community Lunch & Warming Place
Trinity’s Community Lunch Program is part of a city-wide ecumenical effort that provides a hot lunch for about 100 area residents every Thursday from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. Meals are healthy and nutritious, prepared and served by both church members and other volunteers from across the community. Desserts — always enjoyed — are made fresh each week. We call it Community Lunch and not a “soup kitchen” because it’s so much more than a place to get a hot meal. We like to think of it as a place where everyone can share a meal and enjoy some friendly company. All are welcome. Join us for lunch some Thursday at 11:30 – 1:00 (a small donation is appreciated but never required).
During the colder months, Trinity has committed to being a warming place on Thursdays in conjunction with the Community Lunch program. The building is open from 9 am – 4 pm, and staffed by at least two people all day. Anyone is welcome to enjoy some warmth, conversation, games, and reading material in a safe and friendly place.
